Day 1

ARRIVAL DAY

Settle in

Begin to embrace the pace of island life with a cocktail by the infinity pool, a quick dip in the ocean from one of our two private beaches or during a peaceful stroll along our new Nature Trail where you’ll discover the beauty of lush, native Bahamian vegetation, including orchids, palms and kamalame trees.

Dinner at Freedom Restaurant

After a day of travel, satisfy your appetite at Freedom Restaurant’s sushi bar. Watch our chefs craft delicious rolls right before your eyes. We recommend the Bahamas Roll, featuring fresh conch, or the fan-favorite Torched Lobster Roll.

Stargaze from Your Patio

As dusk arrives and the stars begin to twinkle, retreat to your private patio for a tranquil stargazing experience. Use the provided telescope and accompanying stargazing book to explore the heavens above. Bask in the quiet and the beauty— the perfect way to end your first day on the island.

Day 2: Harbour Island Day

MORNING

Morning Yoga at The Cove

Greet the day and unlock your inner calm with a yoga flow in our new studio or on the pool deck, depending on weather. The class is led by our wellness guide, Nantana.

Breakfast at Freedom Restaurant

Head to our Restaurant for Whale Point salmon Benedict, tropical overnight oats or a peanut butter bliss smoothie bowl.

Harbour Island

Harbour Island, known for its pristine pink sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, offers a serene escape with plenty of outdoor adventures. Just a short boat ride from The Cove Eleuthera, it’s the perfect day-trip destination to explore vibrant reefs, charming local culture and natural beauty. Transfers are provided by The Cove for $90 each way. It’s a 35-minute ride north of the resort.
Details:
$5 each way, open 7am-11pm (cash payment only, US is accepted)
Reservations are not required.

Valentine’s Scuba Dive (or Snorkel)

Located on the western side of Harbour Island, visit Valentine’s Dive Center and take your pick from an array of activities, such as scuba diving, snorkeling or swimming with the pigs. Options are available for newbies and more experienced divers alike.
Details:
This excursion is normally a four hour experience ranging from $177 to $445 per person depending on certifications and experience.

Day 2: Harbour Island Day

AFTERNOON

Explore the Pink Sand Beach

Only a six-minute drive away from Valentine’s Scuba Center, walk along the renowned pink sand beach. The natural marvel is created by tiny marine organisms known as foraminifera; their pink and red shells contribute to the vibrant color.
Details:
There are two public access points to pink sand beach. Visitors could also access the beach via the Pink Sands and Ocean View resorts.

Peruse Princess Street Gallery

A four-minute drive from the pink sand beach is Princess Street Gallery where you’ll find creative, tropics-inspired pieces by a wide variety of local artists.

Stroll Dunmore Town

Dunmore Town—the charming heart of Harbour Island—offers a blend of local culture, boutique shopping and dining. After exploring the colorful shops and art galleries, head to one of our favorite eateries: Thai’d at Runaway Hill Inn for a fusion of Thai and Bahamian cuisine; the Dunmore Clubhouse for a refined, island-inspired meal; Rock House for fabulous seafood paired with endless ocean views; or Ma Ruby’s or Angela’s Starfish for authentic Bahamian dishes like conch fritters and fresh-caught fish.

Day 3: Island Exploration

MORNING

Breakfast in Bed

Enjoy breakfast with a view, from bed or your private patio, by ordering a southwest protein bowl, banana bread French toast or a very berry açai smoothie bowl straight to your villa.

Explore Eleuthera Tour

Uncover the hidden gems of Eleuthera during this customizable experience. Stops may include the Sapphire Blue Hole, Queen’s Bath, Preacher’s Cave, Spanish Wells and the Glass Window Bridge, which showcases the contrast between the navy-blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean with the brilliant turquoise of the Bight of Eleuthera.
Details:
2-4 hours, $100 per hour

Day 3: Island Exploration

AFTERNOON

Lunch in Spanish Wells

Following your tour, hang out on Eleuthera’s northern tip. Spanish Wells is the fishing capital of the Bahamas, so the seasonal lobster harvest is a must-try. For a waterfront lunch, we recommend Wreckers or the Shipyard. Both offer delicious seafood caught by local fishermen, including conch dishes, and Bahamian specialties. Suggested visit time: 2-3 hours.
Details:
The Cove can also provide a transfer directly to Spanish Wells without the tour. It requires a 45-minute drive and 10-minute ferry ($6 each way)

Afternoon at Your leisure

The afternoon is yours to enjoy. Try your hand at watercolors with our Sip & Paint experience. Visit one of our pristine beaches. Enjoy a game of pickleball on our new courts. Or, take a break from the sun with a visit to our spa; we recommend adding a customized “scent journey” to your service of choice.

Dinner at Daddy Joe’s

Local favorite Daddy Joe’s is a short, five-minute ride from the resort. Enjoy a pineapple mojito at the outdoor bar, fill up on conch fritters and spicy shrimp and sing along during lively karaoke nights. The Cove provides complimentary transfers to and from the restaurant.

Day 4: Explore The Cove Day

Go for a Bike Ride

Take one of our complimentary bicycles for a ride around the resort or ask our team for directions to the nearby agave savanna where you’ll see a pineapple farm and endless views of the ocean.

Lunchtime Picnic

Choose from three sites around our resort—the North Beach, Point Bar or aboard a Floating Sea Lounge—or the comfort of your own villa deck to enjoy a curated picnic lunch prepared by our culinary team.

Sunset at Point Bar

Watch the sky—and the water—turn orange and purple while sipping tropical cocktails and listening to live music at Point Bar, which is ideally nestled on the edge of the bluff between our two beaches.

Join a Sushi-Making Class

Get hands-on with your dinner: Our sushi chef will teach you the art of sushi making—from properly preparing sushi rice to selecting the right fish—at our new sushi bar. Not only will you get to enjoy your creations, but you’ll take home a sushi kit with recipes

Day 5: Relax & Unwind Day

Stroll the Nature Trail

Discover our new, mile-long Nature Trail. Meander through lush, native Bahamian vegetation to see orchids, palms, kamalame trees and more. Bird lovers should keep their eyes peeled for native fowl, such as the Bananaquit, Cape May Warbler, Royal Tern and others. The trail is designed as a loop, and it includes a boardwalk over wetland areas.

Visit the Spa

Find some zen with a spa day. The De-stress Massage, Coffee Body Scrub or Rejuvenating Facial are what vacation is all about. We suggest including customizable aromatherapy oils to elevate your experience.

Time for Cocktail Hour

Our daily rum tasting includes samples of four varieties from the Bahamas’ own John Watling’s Distillery.

Dinner at Freedom Restaurant

While enjoying breathtaking oceanfront views, you may feel as if the restaurant is yours alone – with a private chef preparing cuisine that celebrates our island’s aquatic bounty. Try our chickpea & coconut curry, grouper or striploin.

Day 6: Ocean Day

Floating Sea Lounge

Enjoy the best seat in the house when you reserve a leisurely day aboard our private, floating open-air lounge. With seating for up to four, this romantic escape feels like you are adrift on your own private island. The sea lounge is complete with two hammocks and can be personalized with food and beverages of your choosing.

Sunset Cruise

Complete your day with a beautiful sunset overlooking tranquil waters. The one-hour cruise includes a charcuterie board, water, sodas, wine and local beers.

Day 7: Governor's Harbour Day

Morning at the Pool

Spend your morning by the infinity pool, where the sound of the ocean sets a peaceful tone for the day. Sip a fresh juice, take a dip or simply unwind with a good book as the sun rises over the water – this is island time, at your own pace.

Governor’s Harbour & Leon Levy Native Plant Preserve Tour

On this half-day tour, take a 45-minute drive to the waterfront of Governor’s Harbour. Then, visit the Leon Levy Native Plant Preserve. You can meander through this 30-acre botanical garden on your own or with a guide. We recommend a lunch stop at Tippy’s, a local favorite for seaside Bahamian fare before you ride back to the resort.

Evening at The Cove

On your final evening at The Cove, join us for happy hour and sunset at Point Bar, where cocktails and sweeping views create the perfect send-off. Reminiscence about your time on the island during dinner at Freedom Restaurant, where you can toast over coastal-inspired dishes.

Day 8: Departure Day

Snorkeling our Coves

Before you depart, sneak in one last dip in the ocean as the final memory of your time at our resort. You’ll pass by our coral reef nursery, built in partnership with Reef Rescue Network (RRN), featuring coral trees and domes that will help protect and grow coral.
