Marlane 'MJ' Johnson

Activities Manager

The Cove’s activities manager, Marlane “MJ” Johnson, is known for her passion for people, nature and all things aquatic. Originally from Andros, Bahamas, MJ grew up on the water, fishing, boating and diving. As a certified advanced open-water diver with teaching qualifications in advanced scuba diving and snorkeling, she brings a deep connection to the sea and a wealth of experience in curating unique, personalized activities for guests.

Known for her limitless energy, MJ delivers experiences that showcase the natural beauty of Eleuthera. On island or on-the-water tours, she’s known to participate right alongside guests—jumping in the famous Sapphire Blue Hole, snorkeling and hiking the resort’s new nature trail, describing native plants and species.  In partnership with the Reef Rescue Network, she helped create a coral reef nursery and snorkel tour at the resort, recognizing the need to save our reefs, especially the critically endangered Staghorn coral. In her leisure time, MJ enjoys spearfishing and exploring the island’s diverse ecosystems, further deepening her appreciation for sustainability and wildlife.
