What's New at The Cove
We invite you to visit the secluded island of Eleuthera for the holidays and beyond. You’ll find all-new, luxurious accommodations, an updated infinity pool and deck and the newly renovated Freedom Restaurant with its central sushi bar, the centerpiece of the resort’s dining experience. In addition, new immersive experiences, such as a coral nursery snorkel tour, encourage guests to stay longer and unwind – taking advantage of all the island has to offer on land and water.
Accommodations
This season, you’ll discover newly constructed accommodations: four Beachfront Junior Suites and the Beachfront Two-Bedroom Infinity Pool Villa. The 750 sq. ft. Beachfront Junior Suites offer a private patio, deep soaking tub, a plush king bed and endless views of the water. The resort’s brand-new Beachfront Two Bedroom Infinity Pool Villa is ready to be your home away from home. This stunning 1,600 sq. ft. haven sleeps four with two king beds, dual bathrooms with garden tubs and outdoor showers, a separate living area, a dining table for six and a heated infinity pool. All 22 rooms, suites and villas have been renovated within the last 18 months, each offering water views. Featuring luxe textures and custom artwork, room interiors in neutral tones by BAR Architects emphasize the turquoise ocean vistas. New decks and patio furniture for each accommodation provide ideal vantage points for sunsets, stargazing and relaxation.
Resort Updates
The resort’s infinity pool, named one of the best pool views in the Caribbean region, has an all-new deck and lounging furniture. Additionally, The Cove introduced a refurbished fitness and wellness experience. Partnering with Technogym, the fitness center features all new equipment and weights, as well as a separate room for guided yoga classes. New to The Cove is the multi-purpose library that can also be used as a media room for family movie nights and a boardroom for meetings. A new resort arrival experience and updated landscaping throughout the resort incorporates native plants and creates the lush, tropical feel The Bahamas are known for.
Coral is Calling: Coral Nursery Snorkel Tour
The Cove has partnered with Reef Rescue Network (RRN) to do its part in coral restoration and marine conservation. In Fall 2024, RRN experts will help “plant” a coral nursery surrounding the resort’s coral reefs—coral trees and domes. In this 1.5 hour excursion, an experienced snorkel guide will first help you familiarize yourself with snorkel gear, inform you about coral restoration efforts and then, guide you around the nursery and nearby coral reefs. A portion of each tour will be donated to the organization.
Nature Trail
The new one-mile long Nature Trail meanders through lush, native Bahamian vegetation, giving guests the opportunity to see orchids, palms, kamalame trees and more. Culminating in a marsh, guests traverse over a boardwalk to view mangrove trees, wetland plants and native birds.
Pickleball
The Cove Eleuthera now has brand new pickleball courts – perfect for a lively match with friends or family. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just learning the game, swing by and enjoy some friendly competition surrounded by our tropical setting.
Intentional Aromatherapy with Body Bliss
The Cove Spa Suites have partnered with Body Bliss, a company that believes the true healing potential of aromatherapy is achievable only using the purest and most complete essential oils. Before your treatment, therapists customize each guest’s “scent journey” through Intentional Aromatherapy; he or she will ask you your intentions, birthdate and other questions to tailor a scent for your treatment. Popular spa treatments include the Cloudberry and Rose Wrap, The Cove Coffee Body Scrub and Sun Salutation Body Wrap.
Culinary
Freedom Restaurant & Sushi Bar, which has long been regarded on the island for its culinary excellence and Asian-inspired cuisine, was renovated for a reimagined dining experience. Interiors, also by BAR Architects, feature a warm weathered teak palette and natural textures accented with lush greenery hanging above patrons to mimic the island’s limestone cliffs. Colors draw inspiration from the Caribbean islands, Atlantic Ocean and ripe pineapples found in Gregory Town. The new central sushi bar and elegant bar with floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic sunset views.
Chef Bryan English and the culinary team have crafted new menus to enjoy at Freedom Restaurant and Gregory Town Grill. Guest favorites include Chickpea & Coconut Curry, Lobster Tail, Caribbean Curry Whole Snapper and a Shakshuka breakfast dish topped with feta. The culinary team proudly uses fresh greens grown at the resort garden by Angie Cooper. Sushi Chefs Cora and Joel craft delicious rolls at the new Sushi Bar, such as the Torched Lobster Roll, Cove Roll and Unagi Tempura Roll. Pastry Chef Louise English showcases her homemade sorbets, homemade ice creams and a Dulce de Chocolate Cremeux, a Bahamian rum raisin ice cream made with salted caramel.
Bahamas Blue Mind
Blue Mind Theory is the idea that being close to water can ease your mind into a meditative state. Marine biologist, Dr. Wallace Nichols, claims that being in or near water triggers a positive response in our brains. The Cove’s luxurious beachfront accommodations certainly may induce a state of calm – with the gentle waves lapping against the shore – steps from your patio. Included in this offer is a picnic for two on a floating sea lounge, an oceanscape painting set, a Blue Mind in-room amenity with a seaside journal to document or sketch your stay, a marine collagen facial mask, a sea salt scrub and local seashell chocolates from Bootleg.
